Differences between AlcoHunter Lite and other AlcoHunters
- The operating principle of AlcoHunters is based on changing of conductivity of built-in semiconductor transmitter sensitive to ethanol vapor content in exhaled breath. Adsorption of ethanol changes the conductivity of semiconductor transmitter, and next the change is converted into an electrical signal. The value of measured electrical signal is converted into the ethanol concentration in blood and exhalation that is displayed on the screen. In this model the semiconductor transmitter is used, the measurement error of which is not more than 25%, while other models have the 10% measurement error.
- AlcoHunter Lite hasn’t multifunctional display, it’s equipped with simple 3-character LED.
- AlcoHunter Lite hasn’t humidity, temperature and pressure compensation system.
- AlcoHunter Lite can’t measure extremely low doses of alcohol while other models show the results with an accuracy of 0,01 permille.
- Results are displayed only in permille while other AlcoHunters display results in permille, BAC% and mg/l.
- AlcoHunter Lite is not equipped with self-testing function, so you need to supervise the test counter.
- There is no weak blowing control; device checks the presence of blowing only.
