Bioacoustic bird repeller "GRAD A-20 Pro"

"GRAD A-20 Pro" is a bioacoustic bird repeller equipped with a powerful remote omnidirectional acoustic unit with 20 speakers, therefore it covers a huge area — up to 10 ha! It is designed to protect large territories and objects: fields, vineyards, airports, orchards, and can also be used in urban environments. It is effective against various types of feathered pests, including sparrows, pigeons, crows, seagulls, starlings, thrushes and others. It is characterized by increased resistance to adverse environmental conditions (IP54  standard) and full autonomy, as it is equipped with a powerful 50W solar panel. The device also works from any available power source (220V or 12V).

Reliable crop protection without harm to nature!

Birds are our constant neighbors, they entertain us with songs and help us fight insect pests. However, during the ripening period, they turn from loyal friends into treacherous enemies and bring a lot of trouble to gardeners, winegrowers, and farmers, destroying a significant part of cherries, grapes, corn, and grain crops. What should we do? It is short-sighted and inhumane to exterminate birds, but it is necessary to protect the harvest.
The optimal solution has already been found — it is a bioacoustic method of protection, i.e. scaring birds away with the help of alarm cries of relatives and hunting cries of birds of prey. As practice shows, this method is much more effective and convenient to use than scaring off with whistles, firecrackers, and shots from hunting rifles. During the operation of the repeller, the birds leave the protected area, so the crops remains intact. At the same time, the birds do not receive physical harm (they just look for other food sources). Consequently, the ecosystem does not suffer, and in the spring the birds again come to the rescue in the fight against insect pests.

Distinctive features of the bioacoustic bird repeller "GRAD A-20 Pro":

• A large protection area (up to 1.1 mln. ft² or 100,000 m²) is achieved due to 20 powerful speakers allowing to protect large facilities: agricultural fields, industrial areas, hangars, granaries, etc.

• A wide variety of recordings with bird sounds (16 pcs) allow to maximize the impact on birds of a specific territory, as well as scare away only certain types of birds.
• Flexible settings for operating modes (day/night, adjustable volume) allow to adapt the device’s operation to the specific conditions of use.
• The possibility of autonomous operation (from battery and solar panel) and protection from atmospheric precipitation (IP54) allow to use the device in the field conditions, where there is no access to 220V mains. A 50W solar panel and all necessary adapters are included in the package.
• A special algorithm of forming the sequence of voice reproduction eliminates the habituation of birds to repeller’s operation (the voices don't repeat according to the same pattern, so the birds can't get used to it).
• The reflective visor of the device is used as an additional visual element of deterrence. Birds are frightened by sudden flashes of light and sunbeams, because they are associated with natural threats: lightning, open fire, etc.

How it works?

The device operates under the control of a microcontroller with its own software that reproduces alarm sounds that birds give to their relatives when danger appears (predators, hunters), as well as play the loud and realistic cries of birds of prey that they emit during hunting. In total, 16 unique voices of birds living in Russia are recorded in the device's memory.

Installation options: in the ground or on a hard surface

For the simplest and most reliable installation, regardless of the conditions of use, three mounting options with complete racks are implemented:

1. installation in the ground
2. the option of anchoring into a solid surface (roof, covering)
3. installation on the ground and fastening with pins.

Flexible settings for operating modes

The control unit is located on the front panel of the device and allows to:

• change the scaring modes flexibly (there are 4 separate scaring tracklists that include 16 unique bird voices)
• select volume level and sound combination
• select the operating modes (day, night, 24 hours)
• adjust pauses between tracks (4 options: 17 sec., 2 min., 10 min. and 30 min.)

All tracklists are designed for fully automatic operation of the device. Because of that and automatic on/off switch, it is enough to set up the repeller once so that it works indefinitely without human presence. This is very convenient in deserted and hard-to-reach areas: agricultural fields, vineyards, roofs of buildings, etc.

Power sources: solar panel, 220V mains, battery

The power supply is provided by a solar panel, from any external source with a DC output voltage of 12V, as well as from 220V mains. A solar panel, a controller for connecting to it, as well as two corresponding adapters (mains 220V and 12V) are included as standard.

Connection to power sources is carried out depending on their type:

• 220V mains — via 220V mains adapter
• 12V rechargeable battery — via a 12V adapter
• solar panel — via the controller

• In agriculture — it is used to protect grain crops, cornfields, fruit trees, and vineyards.
• On airports grounds — to clear the runway from pigeons, crows, seagulls, and thus ensure safety for aviation, to eliminate the possibility of emergencies.
• At landfills — to prevent uncontrolled breeding of birds, their contact with chemical, industrial, and household waste, and the development of antibiotic-resistant diseases that are dangerous to other animals and humans.
• In cities — to keep birds away from balconies, roofs, electrical stations, hangars, warehouses, and other places where their presence is undesirable due to the dirt and noise they produce.
